Revolting Women // DAMN (Issue 87)

Between 1970 and 1990, Tate Britain held 344 exhibitions or presentations, a mere 17 of which were by or included women. All bar one of these women were white. In its most ambitious display to date, the gallery traces two decades of artistic feminist intervention in Britain, righting some wrongs in a bracing exploration of the socio-political contexts that have compelled women to create.
